Data and BI consultant

Do you spend more time collecting numbers than using them? I've worked with data and analytics since 2019 and help businesses build pipelines, data warehouses and reports where the numbers add up and can be traced back to the source.

Describe your workflow

When the spreadsheets take over

It often starts with one Excel file. Someone exports from the finance system, someone else from the CRM, and every Monday one person pastes it all into a report. After a while there are three versions of the same number and nobody is sure which one is right.

A nicer chart rarely fixes that. You need to sort out where the data comes from, how it's calculated and who decides what a term means, so that a customer, an order or a margin means the same thing in every report.

Seven years of data work

I started in 2019 in digital analytics and as a data manager, spent several years on web analytics, A/B testing and conversion optimisation at Conversionista, and most recently worked as a BI consultant at twoday: BI developer, project manager and Scrum Master. I've worked with BigQuery, dbt, dlt, Prefect, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Qlik Sense and Looker Studio, plus SQL and Python.

We load data from your source systems into one place, model it in dbt following Kimball (facts such as orders and invoice lines, dimensions such as customers, products and dates) and add dbt tests so changes in a source show up in the tests before they show up in a report. I use AI agents for modelling, bound by fixed standards for naming, tests and model design, and I review everything before it goes to production.

  • Pipelines from finance, CRM, web analytics and other sources.
  • A data warehouse with clear models and tests.
  • Reports and dashboards with readable definitions.
  • Documentation and handover to whoever maintains it.

What does it cost?

AI-related work starts from SEK 2 000 per hour, excluding VAT.

We start with a fixed-price first step: a review of your data and reports, or one report built all the way from the source system, so you can see how it works before committing to more.

If you want to continue after the start, we move to a monthly scope. We agree how much time and which deliverables each month includes, and we check every month whether the scope still fits.

We agree the price before any work starts, so you know what you are paying for before the first invoice. It depends on how many systems are involved, how access to data looks and how much of the work you want to do yourselves.

Also expect running costs for the data warehouse and BI licences. They depend on data volume and users, and we estimate them together before choosing a platform.

Frequently asked questions

Do we need a data warehouse?

Not always. With one system and a few simple reports, connecting Power BI directly to the source may be enough. When several systems need combining, or the same number is calculated differently in different places, a warehouse usually saves a lot of time.

Power BI or Looker Studio?

It depends on what you already use. With Microsoft 365, Power BI is often the natural choice. Looker Studio suits data in the Google ecosystem, such as GA4 and BigQuery.

Can we take over maintenance ourselves?

Yes, that's the aim. You get documentation of the models, tests and pipelines, and we walk through it with whoever will maintain it.
